Environmental Risk Control

Maintain a product line of dispensing systems which target the reduction of paper and chemical waste.

Established by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of commerce to help businesses stay competitive while reducing impact on our environment.
Waste Reduction
- Using regrind, where allowable, back into the molding process, while selling all unusable regrinds to third-party recyclers to be recycled for use in the reprocessing marketplace.
- Working with our process owners, internal and external, to reduce corrugated waste, and specify reusable packaging wherever possible and practical.
- Maintain a recycling program ( Paper, Corrugated, Aluminum, etc)
Energy/Resource Reduction
- Installing motion-activated on/off electric switches throughout offices.
- Converting office and plant lighting to environmentally-friendly, and energy-efficient systems.
- WPI follows a policy of purchasing energy-efficient electric and hybrid electric molding machines, upgrading its equipment mix and support systems to improve energy savings.
